What a predicament, I have female labs so so a play date is probably not going to happen, but as mentioned above ask the someone at the counter.
I'd recommend going into the store and talking with anyone behind the counter for help. I'm sure there's more than one reason. It might be best to schedule something with the trainers (Mike or Ben) for more answers!
I have read that when they are excited sometimes they play this way. It's not mating related. But i am not an expert...
