The store opens at 9am. If you are there for a book signing you'll have to wait on line outside the store even if the store is open. Store guards will organize the line. The line starts at the front door and stretch back to 46th street and around the block. Get there 2 hours before the signing, for the person you indicated I would get there 3 hours before the start time of the signing. Wear a comfortably pair of shoes.
There be a line, prior to store hours, grab a cup of coffee /tea..., head phones. .etc. better to get there earlier ..make waiting in line, fun..:) good luck!
The store opens at 9:00am. If you want to arrive earlier than that I doubt they would have an issue with you waiting outside.
