I need help on the understanding with the carpets. I'm thinking of moving into the 3rd floor but it needs some work... while alot of work. I'm just confused on how much I should get and how much it would cost. Please help

Good question. First you'll have to determine is the work and expense worth it. Second, with an inexpensive tape measure, measure the area you want carpet take that back to Lowes they will give you a rough idea how much it will cost. They're going to likely arrange with you if you want for their installers to come out and estimate what it will actually cost.
