I have had one oil change and tires rotated already and now I keep getting the message service due. I only have 7700 miles on my car. Is it truly due for an oil change ?

Hi Cindy. Your vehicles Honda maintenance minder software calculates the oil change intervals based on your individual driving habits and time. Consumer Reports magazine states "It’s not just about miles: If you don’t drive your car a lot, your oil still needs to be kept fresh. Even if you drive fewer miles each year than your automaker suggests changing the oil (say, 6,000 miles, with suggested oil-change intervals at 7,500 miles), you should still be getting that oil changed twice a year. Why? Oil becomes less effective as it ages, and by not getting the engine warm enough, excess moisture that forms in the engine will not be removed, which can lead to shorter engine life. Please call us at 239.643.4044 to schedule your next service. Our current Full Synthetic oil and filter change special for Honda owners only, is just $54.95. That low prices includes complementary alignment and multi point inspections and a free car wash. We look forward to serving you again soon.
