The Villages is next to Universal
No shuttle. I asked when staying there 7/2018. Parking a car at Universal is $22, you can go and return the same day by showing your receipt. Free parking after 6 pm. Cab is about $10 each way.
I don't remember a shuttle being available from the resort, but Universal Studio. I don't believe the Resort has enough shuttles to take people to Universal Studios. They will take you places that are within walking distance. I know they go to Walmart lol. It is an awesome Resort, you can fish in their many ponds and they have lots to do. Out of all the Resorts the Marriott has, this is my favorite. I have a Timeshare with the Marriott, so I have been to many. There are many ways to get to Universal. It's so close, a cab is a good way, and if you are spending the money to go to Universal, a cab is definitely not a major cost. The food at Universal will cost you more than a cab.
