I didn't know Churches had to AFFIRM groups? I need to read the Bible again because I thought God AFFIRMED His son Jesus and God's children. I didn't see where he AFFIRMED groups.
Homosexuality according to the Bible, is a carnal sin... period. In no way shape or form should a true Bible believing, Bible preaching church be supportive of the LGBTQ movement and lifestyle. It is also a sin if a church or anyone, twists the words or meaning of what the Bible says to conform to "Today's world". Just because the times change, the cultures change, the BIBLE does NOT. A sin will ALWAYS be a sin. That being said, a Christian is commanded to LOVE all people just as Jesus did, but we are not to encourage, support or "be okay" with the sinful nature and habits of people. At every opportunity a Christian should be trying to steer people towards God and his truth and turn them away from their wickedness. Simply put: Love the sinner, hate their sin. (and ANY sin for that matter). And by the way, we ALL have sinned and fall short of God's Glory, but if you make a commitment to him and believe in him and ask for forgiveness, you will be saved, your sins are forgiven!
