About how far down is the sea floor from the pier does anyone know, i don’t want to be short on rope for crabbing

I'm not sure exactly, but I tried to crab off that pier and a ranger told me that crabbing wasn't allowed off that pier and that I could be fined.

Not too sure but there is a pier where I saw people fishing. There's a beach there for dogs too.
