It depends on a LOT of factors. Call, or better, go in and talk to the folks there and play a few instruments.
They have many princes and size, the best they have is the monthly payment plant if you can cover the full price or they can rent, if your kid dont know how to play or is the 1st time will try and you dont know if he or she like, i advise you to rent if they love the instrument just buy..
You will know which violin you like only by playing it and listening for the quality sound. $500-1000 is right for a decent violin through high school. Expect to move up in price and quality if playing in college.
Depends on the quality you are looking for. I would consider putting at least $500 if you're thinking a beginner student level violin. Couple thousand if you're thinking of a nicer quality.
It depends on the quality and sound of the individual instrument. I would definitely visit the shop, they have a wide range of violins to chose from.
