They don't, I had to go as far as writing to social security and posting a negative review. GM called me personally to schedule appointment
I had the same thing happen to me when I tried to call them directly. So I called the National 800 number and was able to schedule an appointment with the local office that way. They are short 4 case workers so get hold of them by phone is really hard. Onec I talked to the National help line I got a text within a week and the appointment to go to the office was few days later. No crowed at the office it was just me the Guard and the case worker who took care of my paperwork.
