Any phone you buy not sold by your carrier needs to be Unlocked. It is unlikely you can buy an Unlocked phone from a carrier. You can buy unlocked phones online from Amazon, the manufactor, or Best Buy stores carry unlocked phones and they can activate the phones. If not, they will send you to the appropiate carrier store. The advantage of the Unlocked phone is you can change carriers without buying a new phone. You will have tonpay an activation fee.
