I am very thankful for the support and care I was given today at the genius bar. I brought my computer in and it was giving me so much trouble and now it is almost brand new. How can I make an Appointment to purchase a New iphone
I called and talked to and Apple representative. There is no current plan to reopen the Durham, Raleigh, and Greensboro stores. If people wear their masks or a vaccine is finally in wide distribution -- who knows.

Not unless you have apple care or are within warranty. And even then it's not free, it's just a fraction of the regular cost.
You should be able to see open networks on your phone if you are in a cafe, bar, or wherever. Ask the waiter for a pass code. Log On ....

Thanks for the post. I am foreigner and I have no problem shopping in almost all online or physical store, anywhere in the world, except in the Apple online store. I’ll be in the Chapel Hill area and just wanted to know if the same strange rule would also apply to the Apple Southpoint physical store.

I don't know this forsure but I am an UberDriver and I used to get pick up orders up from Southpoint until Christmas from Apple. I haven't had any at all from Apple since . Apple closed a bunch of storefronts nationwide suddenly end of the year. There was a statement but not actual store listings or more information to know what stores were actually effected. Also, perhaps for this location it was a covid positive situation which would explain why they've been so quiet about it. Not sure this actually helps but something is up with that location.
You can go out to the store an they will make an appointment for the same day. I went about 15 mins. before opening. Someone came outside before opening to schedule appointments.

I am having the same problem and have been trying to make an appointment since March. They were closed for months (understandably), and were open for the past few months, but it was impossible to make an appointment on their online system. And now they are closed again.

Yes you have to have an appointment. If you go without one they will tell you to call the apple care line to set one up and come back later.

There's no appointment as far as I know. Its on first come first serve basis. As soon as you enter you could see two folks one on the right and another on the left carrying an ipad. They gently check your name and what's your interest and that falls as the token without any number
