All I have to say is I should have read the reviews on America's Best. This is a very common complaint against America's Best. I would give them negative stars if it were available. I had an appointment at 12:00pm, I arrived at 11:50am...I left at 12:49pm, still not seen. They had three more people still ahead of me. I spoke with the manager and she stated she gets these type of complaints all the time and can't do anything to change it; it's all up to corporate. I called corporate they said, "the stores handle the scheduling with remote docs." It was just a major waste of time for me and the store passing the buck to corporate, and then corporate passing it right back to them. They expected me to wait 2 to 3 hours to be seen, even though I arrived early for my SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT, and was respectful of their time. They could not reschedule me for a first person of the day appointment or any appoint for that matter (None Available). They could not give me any appointment that they could guarantee I would be seen at a particular time without an unacceptable wait. Save your time and sanity and go to a place that can handle your needs and respects your time. If you show up there 2 or 3 hours late, they would never agree to see you, so why would you accept them treating you like cattle waiting 2 to 3 hours to be seen? America's Best for making you wait forever!

I made an afternoon appointment for today, two days ago. I was sent a ridiculous amount of confirmation texts leading up to my appointment, all of which I responded to. Yesterday my appointment was cancelled, but they had a morning spot. I work nights, but I told them I'd do my best to make it. When I woke up late and called, I was told the only time available today was now 11 am. This was at 1030 AM. I was(understandably) a few minutes late. I was asked why my original 230 appointment was cancelled, the one they cancelled. And then I was told they could take me as a walk-in but there is 4 people in front of me. I wouldn't get an eye exam here if they offered to do it for free now. I now get to start my day running on 4 hours of sleep, and I still don't have an updated prescription for my glasses.

They accept many insurance plans. Best to call the office as sometimes plans get dropped or picked up.....

Hi Tina, I would take them back again. When I first got mine I couldn't even read the card. Then the young Asian lady came back over and took them and put them in the machine and did an adjustment. Then I was able to read the card and the words on the wall and see outside. She adjusted the lenses. I can go back anytime it is free according to her. This is the one in Durham. Hope this helps you. prescription must be valid, should have the time frame circled on the paper. The advertised price is two pairs for as low as 69 dollars. This includes two pairs of tyre 59.00 frames and uncoated plastic lenses. You can mix and match depending on what you have available to spend. They will try to upsell the lenses, don't do it!
