Depending on the event/artist... some guest will come real early to get spots on the floor...so it's hard to say..or unless you purchase skip the line tickets or 20 below tickets to get in.
I've heard and seen people get there closer to 6:30 if you plan on being front barrier of stage? Grant it you don't drink, because of losing place. There's not a bad place to stand in this venue. I prefer standing next to or in front of the sound engineer.
Before eight always works and if the top levels are open you can grab a seat.
