Sorry Arturo, Annunciation Catholic Church is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year, which means all the Masses are said in either Latin or English. I hope you will check out the 9:30am Mass, which is in English. Go see the church, beautiful. 🙏
Yes, it does.
I mean injustvwanna go in to pray a moment not to mass... just wanna feel present
Call the church to check the hours it is open and permission. Review the website for phone number.
Tridentine, or traditional Latin Mass (TLM). It was the only Mass prior to the second Vatican Council in a 1960s. It was changed after that to the vernacular, and called the New Order, or novus ordo. That is what we predominantly see today. The extraordinary Mass said in Latin and only the high altar is used, so the priest and the worshippers face the same direction - toward Jesus. It is beautiful.
Sorry we are not set up on-line yet. Sales Only 2 hours prior to the home games during play-offs.
Someday. God bless.
It was open for prayer the day I was there.
There is a parking lot behind the church on Jackson Street.
I would love the colors 2 be silver and blue if possible
There is free parking lot behind the church. Parking on the street is free on Sunday except during baseball season.
Extraordinary form (also called Tridentine) is the form of the Mass celebrated prior to the change in the 1960's. It is all in Latin, but Annunciation has some red booklets with translations that you can follow along with. It is a beautiful Mass! Novus Ordo is a fancy name for the common Roman Rite Mass celebrated in most other churches. :)
It is on game days, only. Usually starts around 2 to 3 hours before the game. We sell them usually, until we run out. When we run out, the Astros always win!
Yes. 5:30PM. English, Novus Ordo
