Can not condone anyone sending their child there and feel safe. We had a horrible experience and pulled our kid out after 2nd day (see review).
My daughter, who has mild depression and anxiety is there now. She had an anxiety attack and drive herself to our local hospital. They suggested Horsham. She has been there since Friday night at 10:30. her bed was supposed to be ready when she got there she didn't get into bed until 2:45 in the morning. Like I said she has mild symptoms. This place has turned my daughter into someone I don't know! We have tried to get her out of there but they can't release her until she's evaluated by the doctor and there was nobody there all weekend and here it is Monday. This has been a nightmare! My daughter told me there's bugs everywhere, the place is filthy, her toilet doesn't flush, there are girls in her "pod" with major psych issues. They should not be with other adolescents. I highly do not suggest you send your child here unless you do not care about them.
The staff had to screw in extra locks to hold the door up when kids tried escaping and were pushing the door in. The staff stood by and watched me and my friend get bullied when we were eating and the staff member was sitting next to us silent which later led to a fight because of them bullying my friend. Everyone there said i didn't belong there staff and patients but they didn't let me leave after the mandatory 72hrs.
