My daughter just got admitted how bad is it

Sexual assault and molestation are very prevalent here.

My son was there and they treated him nice and helped him. I can't speak for others but it was a good experience for him. He also said the food was very good. There are nurses and guards every where, and guys can't go on girls rooms and vise versa , I can't see how anyone would be sexual assaulted without anyone seeing it, they are always being watched.

It really depends on what unit you're on

i dont want to go too much into detail because it may be worrying or triggering to some but my experience was bad and good because the staff wasn't really nice and not too supportive but some were and it was somewhat a bad environment since we colored the whole time and it made me lack a lot of energy since I was cooped up in the building and there were some traumatic events such as screaming in the night and moring and fighs and I would wake up to screams and I would hate to see how bad other paintents episodes were since it was triggering. i also sat in the waiting room/lobby for a long time since they didn't even tell me that my bed was ready and I was extremely tired when I got there and sat there or at least 3 hours. on the other note I met a few cool people and still talk to them today, I discharged a little bit ago like a month or so and missed a lot of school. the inpatient was traumatizing but also I kinda crave the chaos it had in it or because im mentally unstable or rush

They put u there with everyone else without any information and u need to rely on fast made friends for info and protection. My roommate got beat up for me when i smelled because i was in the same clothes for over 24hrs and couldnt get a shower. The food is horrible we had cold wet eggs for breakfast and kids tried breaking out so bad that they almost broke open the door to outside and the staff had to screw in extra locks to try to save the door.

I mean... It's not like CHOP or anything. I will admit that the food is not very good and the atmosphere gives you an eerie vibe but I mean, it's meh.
