TSA makes every effort to reunite passengers with items left behind at the airport checkpoint. Lost and found items retained by TSA for a minimum of thirty (30) days, and if not claimed, are either destroyed, turned over to a state agency for surplus property, or sold by TSA as excess property. Anything lost can be recovered at the police department -- it's located near the terminal garage -- during normal business hours, and there's a section on the CVG website where owners can file a report.
The TSA will try very hard to get the property back to its owners. But if that can't happen it really depends what it is .remember they are not a storage place. So it really depends what the property is
TSA for sure or contact your airline
Go to cvg website.
Call the airport lost and found. If it has been found and turned into them by TSA or anyone else that spotted it, then that's what you do. If it hasn't been found there and you have no other ideas of where it could've been lost at, go online to the DMV to order a replacement or if you need it quickly, go to a location in your city to get a paper copy to carry with you until the replacement comes in the mail. I hope you'll get it returned to you so you won't have to go through the annoyance of a DMV visit for a new one before you have get new one at the expiration date.
