Check with your airlines for all the detailes.
No bombs.....I know that for sure.
Check with your airline. Every airlines website has information on their checked and carry on baggage acceptance policies. You'll also find information about prohibited items which cannot be placed in checked/carry on baggage.
Go to your airline's website and query. In general, no sharp objects, no liquids, no lighters, and it has to be the right size. The size of what you can carry on has gotten a little smaller recently. At worst they'll just make you check it before you board. They should be able to tell you when you check in at the ticket counter. If it's bigger than a regular sized back pack of double check. FYI, each piece of luggage can only weigh fifty pounds. If it's more when you check it in they will charge you right there. If you've never flown before, I would recommend you carry on any meds you need, an extra change of underwear and clothes, and your phone charger. If your luggage gets lost you'll have the necessities. Good luck.
Well, depend of the size of your duffel bag. Too big is not a carry on. Otherwise it is...
