I'm surprised you had an issue. Westport is very cultural diverse. I have been here a million times and there is always every nationality eating there. Maybe it was a bad day for her. You might call the main office and ask and not just assume.
Every time I've been in I've gotten amazing service. And I'm black... Maybe the server was not paying attention, but I don't think the staff would refuse to serve you because of your race. It's a restaurant in the heart of downtown KC. They know better
Yes, I thought the same at first too, but it is just really really slow service. It took forever for us to be waited on there were only 4 tables occupied.
