Yes you will need it. They gave me directions on how to hook it up. Keep calling them. Some of them can be rude as hell and some don't know how. To right to the spectrum store.
Call Spectrum listen for them to press the number to get technical help press that number and wait for someone to come on the line for technical help. However if it is a long wait and they ask if you want them to call you back do so. I hope this helps.
