It's about 7miles inland from the coast, so when it's foggy at the beach, SLO will be sunny. Temps run a little hotter than the coast but cooler than Paso Robles. Geographically it's in a valley surrounded by old volcanic cones and rolling hills. Lots of open space preserves.
