We heard there’s a bacteria in the pond (from the ducks) thats causing some swimmers to get a rash. Is that correct?

Yes, it is not safe to swim here. Also you run the risk of getting one of those amoebas at eatd your brain. I personally would not swim here.

Actually since you are asking this, I do remember our kids did get a rash after swimming in the pond and we were not sure where it came from. It sounds like this is it. Thank you for the info.

Yeah the water is stagnant and with all the ducks and other birds along with the fish and kiddies peeing in it lol I'd definitely recommend a shower right after with antibacterial soap or just swim in a place that you know is safe and don't need to worry

We've always lucked out I guess. No one in my family has gotten a rash but showering soon after visiting the pond is a good idea.

It has happened a couple of times, but showers after swimming seemed to have helped
