This spot is awesome it has restrooms (with flushing toilets), picnic area, trails for biking or just walking, you can paddle board, use your kayak, or fish. It's dog friendly. I've also seen people riding their horses. It has a playground area. You can relax and enjoy the duckies swimming on the water.

A lovely park tucked away behind the high school. Parking was a bit crowded but we were there on a Monday evening, likely a popular time. It was nice and peaceful and the sand in the volleyball court was well maintained.

Because people feed them all the time, they get too fat to fly away in the winter.

They actually drain it quite a bit and I don't think the ice would get thick enough or consistent enough to skate on

It's not necessarily large enough for boats. Maybe jon boats, but speedboats, no. It's way too packed with paddleboarders and kayaks that you literally wouldn't be able to move 😂

We heard there’s a bacteria in the pond (from the ducks) thats causing some swimmers to get a rash. Is that correct?

Yes, it is not safe to swim here. Also you run the risk of getting one of those amoebas at eatd your brain. I personally would not swim here.
