If you are a history junkie and read all the displays, take your time looking at the artifacts and attend a showing of a presentation on the war, l woud say minum 2 hrs. The weekends 3 to 4 hrs with the crowds.
I loved this museum, and agree that 2-4 hours is what you'll want (depending on crowds and your level of interest)... Also, the staff will give guided tours a few times a day, and highly recommend following one of those, they have insight beyond what you see and read on the displays. Lastly, your tickets are good for two consecutive days, when I went, we spent an hour the first afternoon, got a feel for the museum, and then went back the next morning to explore more, to me this was better than a single 4 hour marathon, and I felt like I got more out of it.
All day - and it is worth every minute
I'm a fast reader and history buff. I arrived at 2 PM, midweek, when the museum was relatively empty and was kicked out at when the museum closed. I didn't see all of the movies or read all of the exhibits. So, I would say it takes at least 4 hours including the films, on a quiet day.
Definitely plan to spend 2 to 4 hours depending on how much reading you do.Do no miss the film presentation.
A couple of hours to take full advantage...the tickets are good for 2 dsy admission also so if possible factor thst into
