Hi Debbie! The conservatory averages 85-100 degrees and 75-85% humidity depending on the day!
The Butterfly Biosphere itself is quite warm (90-100 degrees) but Biosphere is within a larger building that's kept between 75-85 degrees with A/C. You can see into the biosphere through windows if the sphere itself would not be tolerable for your guest.
Shirts and a shorts in the biosphere are most comfortable in the biosphere. Museum area and kids play area can be cool. Especially if your sitting next to the large air circulation vents located all along the parent seating. In winter you'll be ok with pants. They have coat racks for any layers you want to leave behind.
It is warm for the butterflies. Misters and warm. It may not be the place for people that cant tolerate heat. Maybe go in the winter when the heat feels better.
It is pretty warm & humid. They are simulating a rainforest. I'd guess 90 degrees or warmer. Not unbearable but noticable.
Imagine a moderate version of a rainforest. Warm enough to sweat and very humid.
I was told they keep it at a constant 90 degrees by my friend who works there.
