Ive seen photos of people canoeing the bayou, is there a canoe rental at the bayou? Catch and release fishing permitted?

There are various places to rent canoes further up in Mandeville and Madisonville I would just Google it

When I was there , there was a canoe rental but places change and the fishing I didn't do was just there to view the area but I'm pretty sure there is a contact number you can get more up to date information on the things going on there. Sorry not much help to your question.
