Quiet hike in the Big Branch wildlife preserve. We saw flower species we had never seen before. Dogs liked it but keep them on a leash as I suspect the surrounding water is full of things that may eat them (and you).

The boardwalk does loop back but is short... the long trail isn't a loop. Probably 3miles there and 3 back is what I would think. Both are beautiful though.
There is also remnants of an old brick sugar Mill at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA. Which is about a 20 minute drive from Boy Scout Rd. I have not seen any old buildings on Boy Scout Rd.
