In the military and & new York state resident. How do I get a new York state drivers license if my last drivers license is from another state?

Visit the nearest NY DMV. They will require you to surrender your out of state drivers license to receive a NY license as long as the out of state license is still valid and NOT expired, they'll issue you a NY license. If the license is expired, or you don't want to surrender your license that is still valid, you'll be required to take the written test & road test. Check the states' dmv website for other documentation requirements.

You know if I absolutely need my SSN card ? Cause I have military ID, Virginia active license & passport card with me, I didn't bring SSN card with me.
