First I had to fill out the service center form for what I needed (license, registration etc) and print a copy. Then online made an appointment on an open day and time. When you get there(near your scheduled time) there's an officer at the door, they will have you scan a qr code with your cell phone camera. The qr code links you to the rmv and places you in line to enter the building. While waiting in your car will you will receive a text when you can enter. Show the officer at the door the text and they will let you in.
