No you do not need to make an appointment; when you walk in to your right there's a sign in screen. It will promote you for the information it needs to sign you in and assign you a number. At that point you will take a seat and will be called be name. The TV screen is down that should prompt your number ; so it is done by them calling you by name for now! Best regards

No you can walk in. If you can make an appointment you don't have to wait in the (sometimes) long lines.
