Yes, but how it works here in Charlotte it's more like "First come first Serve" but you can get a Mattress and after interview for intake then you Earn a Bed, it's 2 Men's Housing building and it's like a Jail environment to be Honest but I would advise you to Work 2Jobs Asap to make Enough to get 1bdrm Apt. And Last thing Lock all your personal belongings in your Vehicle because of the bad Theft problem in the Shelter, "Good Luck"

Everything Andrew Wallace is true. I only wanted to add that you may have to lie about your length of time being homeless. It sad but it's true. I have them reject people because they have not been homeless long enough. Don't worry, two to three should be good enough.
