Are there a lot of northern red oak trees??? I need to collect some acorns for school.

Yes there are in the right spots.

I would bet ,hiking on the trails near Batsto, you will find some of our States official Tree. I wouldn't say they are abundant ,but rather found among the pine trees. Good luck findind the acorns for yiur project !

I am not sure but you could ask the Rangers there they have an information booth
