This place is great. The roads are on GPS so it is hard to get lost. Some petty selfish people complain about vehicles and think you should only be allowed to walk in this huge park that goes for miles and is larger than a city. There are already plenty of designated safe little parks that are paved and built carefully with taxpayer money for the sensetive folks who just want to walk the dogs or ride their bicycle and shivver at the thought of a car tire touching the dirt but for some reason they come to a place like this that has a different purpose and they just complain about everything. This is a nature reserve for everyone to enjoy. The world does not revolve around you folks. You get angry at the sight of vehicles? Then go to one of the neat little parks we built for you with our tax payer money and leave this rugged outback land for us to enjoy.

No.
Just take the dirt road ( next to the asphalt wildlife building road ) straight back and you will see a parking lot or you can go straight to road that surrounds lake
10-15 minutes from the parking area to the large lake.
A valid New Jersey fishing license is required for residents at least 16 years and less than 70 years of age (plus all non-residents 16 years and older) to fish the fresh waters of New Jersey, including privately owned waters.
The water is clean. Not sure what the law is . It is not a stocked lake, so not sure one way or another.
There have been zombies in that area so go at your own risk also the naked purrple munchkins too.
