Is it possible to foster a dog with hopes of adopting if it gets along with the other pets in the home but the ability to bring it back if it isn't working out?

It is possible to Foster to adopt. If it really didn't work out most places require that you bring the animal back to the shelter as part of the contract.

I don't know all the specifics but usually when you're going to adopt they'll have you bring in any pets you have at home to see how they get along with any pets you're interested in taking home. I recommend that highly. We've adopted all of our babies from them in that way. I hope this helps.

Thanks! Our dog gets along with everyone at doggy daycare and at the dog park but he can be territorial if a neighbor stops by our yard with their dog. That is the only reason I'm concerned.
