It is a state forest - no lakes on property. There is an opportunity to file a float plan and get access to the Broad River with a canoe if you wanted to fish in the river which is considered outside of the state forest.

Be easier to go down Broad River Rd to Broad River Park, about 6 or 7 miles. Parking right next to fishing areas.
Fishing is not available within the park unless you bring a deck of cards.

The river is quite a hike. But it's very messy.
The broad river is accessible if you have a fishing permit but it is quite muddy so be prepared. Last time we launched our canoe there we were in mud past our ankles...
