Yes. I would put a 3way on the line. I'd use at least a 50lb green spider wire. Then put at least 8oz or 1lb weight on bottom of 3way with same type of line and use about 2 to 3 ft of line for weight. Then I would get a size 1 or 2 Yamajazu hook and use about 4 to 5 ft line off of 3way and take a piece of herring and cut it in half and throw about 40ft in front of the rocks that's closet to the damn on that pier and wait. You will catch em

The swimming areas are handicapped accessible and there are picnic sites that are as well. The fishing pier however isn't because it's on on very rouh ground with tree roots and stones. I walk with a cane and and almost never made it. There are lots of other lovely sites there though, I think you will love it.
