Yes, very safe. You see mostly family's and couples walking and hiking. I've never seen anything suspicious

I would say it's pretty safe but I don't know about hiking alone I would probably take my dog or a friend.

I'd bring my glock, hunting knife, mace and dog when hunting alone. You never know.... And you never take chances in a strange surrounding alone!!
