They do take them but you will be put on a waiting list..It could take months before they contact you.

You can go to Animal Pantry on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon. They work with a cat rescue. They even have several recues there. That is probably the best option.

Yes however, they are not a no kill shelter so you need to talk with them directly regarding how long they will keep the cat and if there is a nominal service fee for taking the cat.
