I think you can do it in the same day. I adopted a bunny a few months ago and took her home the same day I went. Great place to adopt! Beautiful facility!
Each adoption is different, and the process varies depending on a number of factors. Sometimes an pet can be adopted that day, and other times it takes a few days. Whether or not you are a home owner or renter, have children or elderly in your home, have other pets, etc all affect the the length of the process. Come into the shelter and fill out an application. You will then meet with an adoption counselor who can answer all your questions. Applications stay active for 2 months, so if you don't find the right match on your first visit, you can come back until you do. New animals come into the shelter daily. Thank you!
