All animal adopted from Berkshire Humane Society are spayed and neutered before going home. We work with local veterinarians. The shelter doesn't fix animals not adopted from them; however, we do have some programs to help qualifying families who cannot afford to take their pet to the vet. Please give the shelter a call, and someone at the front desk can provide those resources. We also have a program each December called "100 Cats for Christmas." It's a low-cost, grant-funded program that allows us to help 100 cats and kittens get fixed each year. Hope this is helpful!
They have what they call a cat snip program 50 dollars, pay up front and there's kind of a long wait. But worth it!! 🐱🐱
