Want to find out if this park is suitable for a family outing. i need a place to visit in Manhattan during the Summer with my wife and 2 kids ages 5 and 4. What kind of attractions will excite the kids?

Central park is perfect for a family outing irrespective of kids ages. You can plan a picnic in Sheeps meadow or visit the CP zoo. Feel free to bring along frisbees, balls or whatever else your kids like to play in open spaces :) There are many playgrounds, lakes, even a carousel.

There are plenty of things to do with a young family. Lots of green space to run around. Many playgrounds. Go on a hunt for Alice in Wonderland and Balto statues. Zoo is OK.

Central park zoo, Victoria Gardens which is a perfect mini amusement park for children ages 3-8 located at the wollman Rinks
