You can also park at the City Hall garage, which is a block away.

Yes, free street parking but you may have to walk several blocks to find a spot.
The safest parking is paid underground garage at Market Square, corner of King and Fairfax Streets. Meters run in Old Town Alexandria until 9:00 pm – and parking enforcement is strictly observed! Check times of garage closing to be sure before entering.
