It started as Martha Custus plantation. Once her 1st husband passed, she then Married George Washington (yes that George Washington). The tomb of the unknowns were being watched over by the guards of the unknowns even when the Pentagon was attact on 911. They perform the changing of the guard and all other functions required of their duty.
