Why are pit tix 142 when the seating is only 46-52? Is there no pit access without being rupped off?

This is not a large venue, the seats in the pit area are very very close to the stage. We sat in section 202 and the view and the sound were amazing.

I am unable to answer why the pit tickets are higher than the seating. I have attended two concerts of my favorite artist in the regular seating and in the pit of venue. It has been over three years since I attended the last concert and still get so excited just thinking about it . I will be heading to the pit the next that I can find the time to travel there it is a party wherever you sit!!!
