Unsure of weekly rates now that it is peak season. Recently a friend and I paid $762(ballpark figure) for us two. I stayed alone there during the hurricane and my single rate was lower. I found the rooms clean and spacious ; with microwave and fridge. Great staff/very helpful. Have stayed at America's Best uo the street, and found it not as good, and lots of roaches. Not a problem at the Paramount. Saw children getting on and off the school bus there.
I know the prices they list are only for one person. Each extra person is 35 more a week child or not. And I agree this place is not child friendly. You would do better at Americas best inn and suites. As far as cheap motels on Memorial, they have nicest hotel. Also try Plantation Apartments. 620 a month everything included. Even basic cable. Mrs. Bunny is SUPER nice and its a very kid friendly place.
I am not having any problems with the staff. I have a service dog in my room, and they are always very courteous when they see her out. The rooms are larger than most of the extended stay hotel I've been in and i like the 24 hour security and patrol. I have not seen druggies or any "bad" people here. I love to walk around by the lake too. It's an older facility, but it has its perks.
