Edit :My cousin just got married there next to the pavilion in November. He did call a number to make sure nothing else was going on, but at all state parks you can pretty much get married on the grounds, no questions asked. The inside is a different story and closed now anyway. You should have no problems at all. Also, if its low tide you could do it below the castle on the river at the ferry. A little beach forms that is very cute if you walk to the end of the green. By the ponds by the castle there is a train tunnel that is great for pictures if you guys like trains. You definitely have your options if you're pulling something off small, quick, and quite. People have their photos taken there often enough.
I'm pretty sure you can schedule with them, but I also believe they are doing ground and construction work around the castle right now so it could be different.
The castle is not open but the grounds are open and the exterior of the castle is available to you. I think you can go say ur vows and take pics. People just come and walk through.
Okay great, so can people still visit, while on construction?
Yes. My brother got married there. You have to schedule a time through them. Just give them a call.
Yes I believe so. Don't count me on that. But the park is open. You cannot go into the Castle. I'm from east haddam. And I was just there and I don't think you will have any issues. But I'm not a park ranger either. But they are not really up there.
