Sugar gliders, ferrets, hedgehogs and quite a few other non-native species pets are still completely illegal in California. So stores can't legally sell them even if they wanted to. Sure some people do have them as pets but that does not change the fact that it is illegal, which affects stores more than individuals.
I wish! Nope, just birds, cats, rats, mice, and guinea pigs. They don't sell rabbits anymore since the new law passed saying only rescued rabbits, not bred, can be sold in pet stores.
