If you are a female there are two places to stay , the shade tree which is on Main Street and Owens or the Salvation Army on Owens but Catholic Charities is for men only for residential, however, you can get food there.

Not sure about the food you could try the rescue mission for both. I believe one of the casinos is providing free meals for Thanksgiving day. Either treasure island or Excalibur.
If it"s your a first time customer there is no turkeys available. Now if it's your first time and if you get in they will only give you 10lbs of food.
