Yes you can though you may have to play with like geared players. Also have to xhroni down to their low impact paintball speeds unless you go play during the special high impact paintball days.
Russel and Joseph are correct, TAG does everything possible to make it fair and fun for beginner players. Come out and experience the TAG difference.
You can always bring your own gun. However you cannot play with an electric hopper except on high impact days. ( 3rd sat of every month) That way is sort of levels the playing field from rentals to self equipped
