Great workout but, awful reception and somewhat dangerous to be out there. Herd cows near the path and a coyote seemed to be darting around watching us. I would recommend bringing some protection (taser?) and would not recommend this for families or children.

Went on April 23 2022.. it was pretty dry.. still there are sparse wild flowers.. if you spend enough time to look for.. just spend an hour in the park.. would love to spend more when the season was good with enough rains… can’t wait to see the rolling hills in green

We drove out of our way to get to this park to find signs saying it is $10 each time to get in. Not happy with that, we won't be coming back.

Picnic tables with bathrooms & outdoor handwashing station, + maps of trails at kiosk. Can instead park in overflow area on N. side of Dinosaur Pt. Rd. exit off of Hwy. 152, opposite entrance gate on S. side, for free (has Porta Potty). Park gr8 4 Mountain Biking!
I saw a couple with their toddler the other day, they hiked Pig Pond trail to the picnic table and back, easy hike. Would be more interesting in Spring, the pond is dry as a bone this time of year.
In Pacheco Park, I would say no, although Dinosaur Lake is full of water, I wouldn't swim in it. Check out San Luis Resevoir State Recreation Area right nextdoor for boating fishing swimming.
